Day 4: Fuel First

Welcome to Day 4 of the Align + Flow Challenge.

You’ve been practicing how to tap into your cyclical energy states, and try aligning your current energy to a task or activity that feels aligned. These are not easy new habits! Celebrate yourself for coming this far. 

Today, we will be focusing on how to proactively create more energy in our day-to-day lives by Fuelling First. Let’s revisit the first question in your Daily Alignment Practice.

What will I do to fuel and energise my body today?

Do not underestimate how much power you can inject into your life by developing this practice of energy raising. 

When you flip the script of treating the activities and experiences that energise you as 'rewards' and instead see them as fuel, you break the cycle of running on empty and never getting to access those expanded energy states that are your birthright. 

 
 

Today’s challenge assignment:

In addition to doing your regular Daily Alignment Practice, create a running Fuel List: your own personal inventory of activities, habits, environments that feel really good to you energetically. Things that are pure pleasure, things that you love but rarely indulge in. Add anything to your Fuel List that helps raise your energy or rest, rejuvenate, create calm, laugh, or complete a cycle.

Now going forward every morning when you ask yourself, “What will I do to fuel my body today?”, take a look at your Fuel List. As you review your list, see how your body reacts and pick at least one to schedule into your calendar for today. Fuel your body with one thing from this list before you start any output-based activities.
